Lex Novus, PLC was launched April 1, 2020, in the very first days of the pandemic. With no office space, we worked out our house. We corresponded to clients and Courts via email and USPS. Our small Post Office in Oxford, Michigan, was one of the few places we visited in person. We quickly learned Zoom to conduct meetings and document signings. We witnessed and notarized a lot of documents remotely (allowed via Executive Order during the pandemic), and on our front porch. We met individuals and couples who had decided that planning their estate was more critical than ever, and assisted others with starting and maintaining their own businesses, and related real estate matters. Fast forward to 2022, and we are close to celebrating two years in our office at 801 W. Big Beaver Road in Troy, Michigan. With the addition of attorney Andrew Thomas, we continue to keep pace with the needs of the clients. Andrew brings 15 years of estate planning, estate administration, probate, and Medicaid planning to the team. We use our shared knowledge and past experiences to effectively counsel the clients of Lex Novus, PLC.
